Due to the postponement of general elections from 2nd to 4th of April 2011, the U-16 and U-18 National Athletics Championships scheduled for 5th and 6th has been shifted by the Athletics Federation of Nigeria to 6th and 7th (Wednesday and Thursday) April 2011.
According to the Secretary of the association, Maria Wophill (Mrs.) The shift in the dates is necessary to enable participants coming from other states of the Federation travel to Lagos on Tuesday since there will be no movement on Monday 4th April.
