Gbagbeke Eyes Sprint In New Season

Africa Senior Athletics Championship bronze medalist, Stanley Avwarosuoghene Gbagbeke has expressed his determination to include sprint in his program for the 2011 season that will be starting soon.
In this chat, the Delta born long jumper said sprint has always been on his mind but has now decided to include it to his long jumping in 2011.
Though he said it has been tough since he started the sprint workout, he had to endure it to make it this year in the event.
He specifically stated that he will be competing for the 100m and 200m events with other athletes in Nigeria.
“2011 is here and I’m training hard to make it a good season for me. I just included the sprint workout to my training schedule. It’s been tough though but I got to endure it because I have to make it in the 100 and 200m.”
Debunking the notion that he will find it difficult in the sprint, the US based athlete said that sprint has always been his game starting that he was in the country’s 4x100m men team in the Commonwealth Games that was held in India.
“I am not new to sprint at all, I have been doing it but not in competitions but during the last Commonwealth Games in India, I was in the men 4x100 team, I ran the third leg of the heat,” he assured.
